Explore how aromas connect.
This network links Odors (gold), Compounds (blue), and Grapes/Appellations (green) using relationships from a provided dataset. The tool automatically detects whether your dataset contains grape varieties or wine regions.
Load data: Click Load default file or choose from the dataset library to explore curated wine datasets. Upload your own CSV or JSON to analyze custom data.
Filter: Choose one or more Odor types (multi‑select using Cmd/Ctrl/Shift, or click "All" to reset). Filter by Grape color (Red/White/All) when using grape datasets. The layout remains fixed while showing only matching nodes.
Focus: Click any node—or use Search & Focus—to highlight two degrees of connection (the node, its neighbors, and their neighbors).
Strong links (darker lines) show especially tight associations:
Read details: The info bar summarizes compounds, grapes/appellations, and/or odors from the current selection.
Navigate: Use Clear Focus to restore the full labeled view. Fit to Focus centers and zooms on the selection.
Export & save: Export PNG saves network visualizations. Export Card generates detailed info cards. Export Composite combines both. Save View stores your settings locally for reuse.
Share: Click Share URL to generate a shareable link that preserves your exact view—dataset, filters, focus, and camera position. Perfect for teaching, presentations, or collaboration.
Getting started:
Novices — begin with a favorite grape and trace its aromas.
Sommeliers — explore strong-link patterns, compare datasets, or share custom views.
Students — use shared URLs to study specific aromatic profiles.
